Under Review

This study examines how long-term participation in marathon running relates to cognitive performance and resilience. Grounded in theories of cognitive reserve and lifespan development, it assesses attention, executive function, and decision-making in experienced multi-marathoners compared with population reference data.
The research aims to contribute to understanding how endurance participation and cognitive performance interact across the lifespan within the context of healthy ageing.
